About as important as the updates themselves, this is all apart of the developer's plan to never have an expansion for AoC. Might sound like a terrible thing at first, but really, personally, I think it's great. Just tons of new content as soon as its ready, and you never have to pay extra (beyond the subscription fee, of course) or bother with a second (or third) installation.

Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures is a multilayered MMO that reveals gameplay layers as you progress and explore the world. This continues to be a rich and varied gaming experience. The hint of evil threatening not only Conan's realm but all of Hyboria is ingrained into the fiction of the game and as you build upwards, you begin to sense the textures of the painting that is slowly revealed in this game of high adventure.

Godager's letter also details plans to "overhaul" the PvP system, presumably to deter the rampant low-level player slaying currently infesting most of the game's PvP areas. Good idea too, as that's one of the key issues I cite in my upcoming review of the game.

It seems as if some people are still having a little trouble, one guy deleted the wrong file, and he now has to wait another 15 hours to download a 15.3 gig file. Just remember to take your time, as you do not want to make the same mistake as the person did above.
Stats seem to only barely be affecting damage output, and appear still broken in other areas, mostly defensive characteristics of the stats are not being applied.(See dev response below)
Perhaps the biggest announcement in the recent Clan of Conan is the addition of Powerpoints in the game. This new feature gives players one Powerpoint per week of subscription or for every level their character was supposed to hit beyond 80 (the current level cap).
It's unfortunate that these problems haven't been worked out by Funcom. After all, siege combat is perhaps one of the biggest draws of the game. Hopefully, the developers will sit down and take a long hard look at the instance and fix it because if they keep it as it is, I know of quite a number of players who will be unsubscribing to the game.
